Scans your gallery on-device and never uploads photos; includes ads, analytics, crash reporting and in-app purchases.

Scope

This privacy policy applies to the Android app “Duplicate Photo Cleaner AI” (package com.optipick.smart.gallery.cleaner, called PhotoClean on this site), published on Google Play by ITeddy. It explains what the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can have it deleted. It matches the Data safety section of the app’s Google Play listing.

What stays on your device

Scanning, duplicate and lookalike detection, best-shot suggestions, compression, format conversion and Secret Space all run on your device. The app never uploads your photos, videos, thumbnails, filenames, or metadata such as capture time and location to us or to any third party.

What we collect

The following data leaves the device to the services we use. Unless stated otherwise it is collected automatically and contains no name, email address or phone number.

  • App interactions and other actions (Firebase Analytics): which screens you open, which features you use and in-app events, together with an app-instance ID, device model, OS version, language and country/region. None of this includes your name or contact details.
  • Crash logs and diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics): stack traces, device and OS information at the time of a crash, and app state, used to find and fix faults.
  • Device or other IDs: the advertising ID (AdMob), the Firebase app-instance ID and a random anonymous user ID generated by RevenueCat. None of these identify you by name, and the advertising ID can be reset in system settings.
  • Purchase history (RevenueCat and Google Play Billing): which item you bought or subscribed to, when, and its status, used to unlock paid features and restore purchases. Google Play handles payment; we never see your card or bank details.
  • Content you choose to send: if you submit feedback inside the app, the text you write is sent to us. This is optional; nothing is collected unless you submit it.

How we use it

  • Providing and maintaining app features, such as unlocking paid features, restoring purchases and enforcing free allowances.
  • Measuring how features are used so we know what to improve.
  • Finding and fixing crashes and faults.
  • Serving ads and measuring their performance.
  • Verifying purchases and preventing fraud and abuse.

Third-party services and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. The services below process data under their own privacy policies: Google AdMob receives the advertising ID, device diagnostics and in-app interaction data to serve and measure ads; Firebase and RevenueCat act as our service providers and process data only on our behalf.

Permissions

  • Photos and media: to read your gallery for on-device scanning and sorting, and to delete only the photos you explicitly select.
  • Network: for ads, usage statistics, crash reporting and purchase verification.
  • Notifications (optional): reminders about cleanup results or storage changes.

Retention and deletion

Data stored on the device is removed when you uninstall the app. Server-side data you can ask us to delete: Analytics, crash and purchase records linked to your app-instance ID, advertising ID or RevenueCat anonymous ID, plus any feedback you submitted.

To request deletion, email dola724gg@gmail.com and mention the app name “Duplicate Photo Cleaner AI”. We handle requests within 30 days. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in system settings at any time.

Your choices

  • In the EEA, UK and Switzerland the app shows an ad-consent prompt on first launch, where you can decline personalised ads.
  • In system settings under Google › Ads you can opt out of ad personalisation or reset the advertising ID.
  • Purchases and subscriptions can be managed or cancelled from the Subscriptions page in Google Play.

Security

All network traffic uses HTTPS or an equivalent encrypted connection. We never store your photos, documents or payment details on servers of our own.

Children

The app is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if we learn we have done so, we delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

Updates are published on this page with a new version date; material changes are also noted in the app’s release notes.
